* Our company, based in Lombardy in Italy, has been manufacturing PVC, polyethylene and polypropylene core tubes of up to 300 mm in diameter since 1960. Our industrial premises cover 6,000 square metres and we have 9 modern modified extruders with a production capacity of 3,000 kg/hour of high-quality calibrated core tubes. * FIAP’s PVC core tube offers rigidity and dimensional stability, fire resistant properties and excellent mechanical behaviour. Its compressive strength, depending on the diameter, is between 24 and 31 KN/ml. * The materials we use ensure that the reels will not collapse in humid conditions or under large loads. They can be recycled and used for long periods of time without losing any of their original properties. * FIAP’s plastic core tube is better suited for use in sterilised packaging rooms for food and medical products than cardboard. * The core tubes that we supply can be cut to measure, and are available in ivory and other colours. It is possible to label their outer surface. The core tubes can be cut using a conventional circular saw at 2500 rpm. MANUFACTURE OF PVC, PP AND HDPE CORE TUBES.
